Cross country skiing

Thanks to its wonderful variety of scenic tracks, Lech is becoming more and more popular with cross-country skiers.

The Arlberg is not only the El Dorado of alpine skiers, it's fast becoming a popular area for cross-country skiers too. Hardly surprising, when you consider its perfectly-prepared pistes and its wonderful variety of scenic cross-country tracks. 

Classic cross-country tracks  - 23km
Start in Lech by the bridge,  Lech - Zug approx.. 2.8 km Omesberg - Zug approx. 2.4 km Zug - Älpele approx. 3.5 km Älpele - Tannläger - Älpele approx. 8.0 km

Skating cross-country tracks  - 3.5km
Parallel to the classic track, between Zug and Älpel, you will also find a cross-country skating track.

Cross-country skiing in Lech Arlberg

Gaisbühel high-level cross-country track  - approx. 6 km
This track is very challenging, running more or less parallel to the "Gaisbühel" high-level walking track. It is possible reach the starting point of the track by taking the Schlosskopfbahn, or village bus no. 4 to the end of the line. From there a short footpath will bring you to the actual starting point. Please note that following a snowfall, preparation work on the walking and cross-country tracks in Oberlech will not be completed before approximately midday.
